This was a really good month! We got our new carpet installed (which meant a very busy weekend of ripping up carpet and painting), and it is beautiful. It was one of our biggest projects planned for this house (certainly the most expensive!) so it feels great to have that done. We were overwhelmed with all the cucumbers from the garden, so I learned how to can and now we have jars of pickles and strawberry rhubarb pie filling in the basement for the winter! I love doing that kind of stuff, and it wasn't as hard as a I thought. Overall I can't believe summer is coming to an end, it went so fast! My neighbor and I have been trying to soak up as much summer as we can with drinks on the deck, and will do so as long as it's nice out! Write more - post at least once a monthJournal before bed18 out of 31 days Plan 1 proper dateTo celebrate five years together, we went out for a fancy dinner. It was a really nice place and just the appetizer (angry shrimp) was amazing on its own, but mostly I enjoyed getting dressed up, haha. Haven't exactly had many reasons to get dolled up in the past year. And I had found a really nice $70 dress at the thrift store (new with tags) for just $8 that I have been dying to show off in! We even got a free enormous chocolate cake to bring home because it was an anniversary dinner, which we ate in bed watching Rick & Morty, classy people that we are, lol. Have monthly therapy sessions

The Lyme finally gave in during my sickness, so I could get back to being physically active again. I took Rosco to our usual lake trail, but it was wayy too humid to be pleasant. Still glad I went though, the main reason I have this as a monthly goal is for the mental benefits of spending time alone in the forest. :) Related articles:
