If you read my post that taught you six easy ways to kick-start your day, you know that I eat the same breakfast every single day, including this banana pineapple smoothie.
When I say that this smoothie is still something I look forward to every morning, I’m serious. It makes my mornings easier since it's such an ingrained habit for me, and best of all -- it's always so darn good.
An important part of staying on top of your mental health problem is to eat healthy. You don't need to swear off candy and whatever your indulgence of choice is altogether, but make sure that the majority of what you eat is good for you.
And smoothies are great ways to easily incorporate fruits and greens! Follow these two rules, and it will always be delicious: One, freeze bananas when they are very ripe with brown spots on them. Like this!

And two, pick out the perfect pineapple:

That’s it!
No sugar needed, just natural ripe fruit. I even add a handful of greens to it, and it doesn’t affect the taste at all (as long as you don’t go completely bonkers with it). If you’re a beginner to green smoothies I recommend starting with spinach, just to be sure, since it is sweeter than kale. Of course, you can forego the greens altogether and just go with the fruit!
Another thing to remember is to peel the bananas before you freeze them. You laugh, but I once opened the freezer to find whole bananas that I had to cut the skin off. It was well-intentioned by my ex-husband, but a PIA.
Well, there’s nothing more to do than introduce you to your new morning favorite! There's a downloadable file at the bottom as well, so you can put it on the counter to make your morning as easy as possible! ![]()
