Like many others, I love Pride & Prejudice. I have read it countless times and listened to the audiobook while falling asleep for a decade - safe to say, I know every word! In Nameless by Julie Cooper, the original story ends when Mr. Bingley and Jane are separated and he and Mr. Darcy return to London. Now it is nine years later and Elizabeth and Mr. Darcy cross paths again -- under very different circumstances. It is really fun meeting Elizabeth as an older and more mature woman, and seeing what happened with everyone when the original happy endings didn't come to pass. It is wonderfully written, quite a lot more action-packed than I had expected, and all in all a delightful read. Highly recommended for all Jane Austen fans! Another suggestion is Mr. Darcy's Diary by Amanda Grange -- Pride & Prejudice from his point of view. It wasn't as well written as Nameless, but a really fun read nonetheless. :) Related articles: Photo by Toa Heftiba
